We wait on hold.
You pick up when a human answers.
Tell us which line you need. We dial it, sit through the menu, and hold your place in the queue. The second a live agent picks up, your phone rings and you're talking to them.
No charge unless we actually connect you to a person.

Three steps
Pick the line and leave your number
Choose which department you need. We verify your phone with a text so we know we're allowed to call you back.
We dial and hold
Our system works through the phone menu and waits in the normal queue. Go do something else — your phone stays free.
Your phone rings
When we hear a real person, we ring you and put you straight through. If the line drops us, we start over automatically.
The part everyone else gets wrong
Most callback services ring you after the agent says hello, so the agent hears dead air and sometimes hangs up before you've picked up. When the queue announces an estimated wait, HoldForYou calls you before we reach the front and parks you on the line with music. The agent's first hello lands in your ear, not in an empty room.
Pricing
if we don't reach a person.
We place a hold on your card when you start, and we only capture it once you're actually talking to a live agent. Dropped call, closed queue, no answer — the hold is released and you pay nothing. No subscription.

Are you the IRS?
No. HoldForYou is a private, independent service with no affiliation to, endorsement from, or authority from the IRS or any government agency. You can always call the IRS yourself for free at the numbers published on irs.gov.
Are you skipping the line ahead of other people?
No. We wait in exactly the same queue, in order, for exactly as long as you would have. The difference is that our machine does the waiting instead of you. We also cap how many calls we place to any one line at a time, specifically so we don't add to the congestion.
What if the line hangs up on you?
That's the normal case on a busy day — the IRS plays a "high call volume" message and disconnects. We hear it, hang up, wait a randomized interval, and dial again. You don't do anything.
Do you record the call or hear my tax information?
Recording is off. Our system listens to the hold audio only to tell the difference between hold music and a human voice, and it stops listening the moment you're connected. We never join your conversation.
Can you handle insurance payer lines too?
Yes — that's a separate product for billing and RCM teams who lose hours a day on provider-services hold. See the team version.
